The past month and a half have been a time of change. Believe me when I say that I HATE change, yet I embrace it and eventually enjoy it. Haha!! I have never liked change and as I grew older that did not change...
Sometimes I wish that I was 5years old and not have to be an adult. Life was so much simpler then. Who didn't love watching cartoons on Saturday and coloring outside the lines? Although adult life is treating me well, I don't want to grow up.
My best friend, Maggie, and I have separated ways. Don't freak out we are still friends; just not roommates anymore. I strongly disliked this change, but it was bound to happen sooner or later. I was told that I can't live with Maggie forever...haha! I said, "Why not?" :) Honestly it needed to happen and everyone needs to separate us because we are TWO different people. We both want to get married and have a family. She just might beat me to it. I am happy that she has a boyfriend...it just makes things different. In my fantasy world we would both be dating at the same time and experiencing that life together. Spilling about the fun dates we had with him and how we fight about this or that yet we still like each other. Sigh. Change...I hate you.
I have had so many emotions it's insane. Ultimately I am happy and gladly embrace the change. I have had the awesome opportunity to dance with RockHarbor and their amazing dance ministry!! I was so happy to have something that I enjoy and love come together. I danced with them for Christmas and now it was time for Easter. Seriously I don't know what I would do without them/dance. Praising God and worshiping through dance is one of my favorite things to do! I am thankful that the Lord blessed me with the opportunity as well as gave me something else to focus on.
Moving day was March 31st and although it was way harder than I had anticipated, it was here and gone before I knew it. I am thankful for all of my friends that have been there for me. I am thankful that the Lord has blessed me in spite of my resist to change. I appreciate all that He has done & eagerly await what He has in store for me!! *Phil. 4:13*
Pray. Love. Life.
"At the cross you beckon me You draw me gently to my knees, and I am Lost for words, so lost in love, I am Sweetly broken, wholly surrender"

Weekend Update!! :)
Let me tell you...it has been a fantastic weekend to say the least. I was able to go to Disneyland with my good friend Marlval from Haiti. Plus that afternoon I was on my way to the Angels Fan Cruise!! I met Hank Conger, Peter Bourjos, and Mark Trumbo who are professional baseball player for the Angels. Holler!! SO. MUCH. FUN. We also got to have Marcia Smith at our dinner table, who happens to be a sports writer for the OC Register!! She even posted a photo of me in the article she blogged about the fan cruise. I will share a few of my favorite photos.
Until next time...

Run, Deja, Run!!
"Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us" Hebrews 12:1 (ESV)
The new year is here...2012!! I have decided to start running. Not just "hey let me see how fast or long I can go", but really focusing on a goal and achieving that goal!! I mean yes I want to get in shape, and yes I'd love to lose a few pounds, but I don't want to make that my ultimate goal. I also want to make my running God focused. Anytime I feel like I want to give up, I think of what Christ did for me by dying on the cross!! What an AMAZING and selfless thing he did for US because we are all sinners. If Christ can DIE for ME then I can certainly run 3 or 13miles. It's a great perspective and motivation for me!!
-My ultimate goal: Disney 1/2 Marathon in September
-Race on the Base 5K in February (I just signed up for this!!)
-Angels Fun Run 5K in April
My Dad asked me last week how many miles I had been running. I told him you might want to ask if I have exercised at all and I would have answered no. Haha!! He then told me I should be running at least 3 miles once a week. This past week was my first real go at it. Wednesday I did about a little more than a 2.5mile run with my dad. It was in the evening and a bit cold outside so I ran faster than my normal pace. Thursday I did a 2.5mile run at the gym. I was not surprised that my pace was slower, it's so hot in there. I mean all those sweaty bodies together...eww!! By the way my left foot seems to go to sleep after I run about 2 miles. I need to fix that.
This morning, Saturday...my sleep in day, I got up and went to work out with Kamala! It was a wonderful start to my day :) Surprisingly great start to my day!! It's always good to have a workout buddy to keep you accountable. We were going to go to the park to run, but the rain washed out that plan. We headed over to 24hr. fitness hopped on the treadmills and took off. I went a total of 3miles in distance, some running & some walking. We topped it off with a sit in the hot sauna. So refreshing!!
So here is the start of my journey towards becoming a better me :)

The JOY of the Lord
We spent Christmas in Haiti blessing the children of Maison de Lumiere. It's always so special to see their faces when they receive a gift. I know our kids are a bit spoiled, but it's still great to see their faces. We have some new kids and I waited to see their face specifically. It just brings me so much JOY to see how happy they are. Christmas is not just about the gifts, but the act of receiving. I love to see the reactions on peoples faces when they see what I got them. It's the best!!
We went to the girls home first and then to the boys. After, we got to enjoy a meal all together. It made me happy to see everyone socializing and enjoying each other's company. I passed out the cards Maggie gave to me to pass out to the kids. Too bad they thought they were from me...haha!! I told them they weren't. They really appreicated them because she put photos in it. One of her girls, Cherline, read it and I knew she wished she was here. I do too.
The boys played soccer until sun up. Dude they are SO good at soccer. Even Sam tried to play with them and failed. Haha!! I love that Adeline and Christella can hold their own with the boys. Rock on girls!! I wish I could even attempt to play soccer. I just love watching them play!! Eventually we went back to the guest house and out of exhaustion went to bed. Merry Christmas!! :)
Monday I helped undecorate the guest house of Christmas decor. I organized/put away the stuff for the Christmas program. I could not believe how sweet the costumes are!! Someone made outfits...legit outfits for the program out of bed sheets!! Too bad I missed it this year :(
One of the highlights would be the feeding program that afternoon. We got to just hang out with sweet faces of the neighborhood. I had a little baby girl cling to me at the end and she didn't want to let go!! So precious!! Until next time :)

Joyeux Noel!!!!
Feliz Navidad & Merry Christmas!!!! :)
It has been great being back in Haiti. It's almost seems "normal" if that makes any sense. As we were driving to the guest house from the airport, I had a sense of "yes I know this place". And it has been a crazy two days to say the least. Christmas festivites galore and parties til dawn.
Yesterday for Christmas Eve I helped get the some of the staff gifts together. We went to hang out with the kids before church. I brought over UNO and played it with some of the boys. I still don't know who won that game. I gave up like after 10-15mins of playing...haha!! Plus Ti-Bo kept telling everyone what cards I had. Thanks dude. We tried to get all the kids together in their Christmas best for a photo before church. We asked them to be at the bens at 4pm. At about 4:30pm the little girls showed up all dolled up. Later at about 4:45pm the little boys showed up all hansome with their collared shirts. Trying to arrange a photo for them was caaaraayyzee!!!! SO cute though and I think we got a few good ones ;)
Chrismas Eve dinner was at the Manasseo's house and boy was that fantastic!! Grub a dub dub!! After visiting with everyone we came back and some of us watched "Soul Surfer". AWESOME movie by the way!!!! :)
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!!!! :)
